Fungus that is normally responsible for athlete's foot is known as Trichophyton. When the feet or any other part of the body keep on moist, humid, and irritated, that time this fungus can attack and infect the top layer of the skin. This fungal infections can take place anywhere on the body, including the chest, scalp, arms, legs, feet, hands, nails, groin, and other parts of body. Even though athlete's foot is more common among teenagers and youngsters, but sometime kids and women can get it, too. Persons with sticky, sweaty or wet feet are at more risk. Using others used footwear is one of the easiest way from where the fungus can get on your feet. The fungus responsible for athlete's foot can be easily found on many places especially public locations, including swimming pools, gyms floors, salons, locker rooms, and also in socks and clothing. The fungus can also be spread sprightly from one person to other or by contact with any of infected objects. But, without appropriate growing environment (a warm, moist condition), the fungus may not simply infect the skin. Approximately 75% of the people may have athlete's foot at some time in there live.
