Blackheads

Millions of persons have blackheads and the majority just believe that blackheads are one of those problems that they have to bear. In very simple and easy terms, blackheads are small bumps rooted into the pores of our skin. Generally they are blackish or yellowish in colour. Blackheads are open and non-inflammatory pimple with a quality dark centre. Blackheads are more common in oily skin then other types of skin.

Blackheads are a form of "Acne" known as an open comedone (otherwise known as the pimple). According to medical practitioners, first stage of acne is Blackheads. They form before bacteria attack the open pores of skin, which finally results in infection and soreness. These blackheads characteristically develop after teenage years, when hormones start rolling into the body and skin. The extra hormones present in the skin come out as result of the oil gland known sebaceous glands. This stimulation leads to produce excess oil in the pores of skin. The extra oil gets collected in the pores resulting in a ball of gathered oil and when this gathered oil is exposed to air, turns black in colour. There are lots of circumstances that may cause or even worsen blackheads. Mainly it get worsen due to use of topical oils and regular use of makeup. In general blackheads are present in approximately all skin types.
