Swine Flu Symptoms


The name 'Swine flu' brings up lots of additional fear and trouble, it is essential to note that Swine flu is only influenza A H1N1 virus. Which simply means that it is another kind of flu virus, just like the viruses that causes usual seasonal flu symptoms. But the main difference is that the recent swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is new and many of us don't have resistance toward it. That is why it is easily become a pandemic virus and have the capability to cause a worldwide outburst. It could simply spread from one person to another. So there are some emergency and precautionary warning symptoms of Swine flu. Any person who has them should required immediate medical care.

Symptoms of Swine flu

Started with simple infections, like
  1. Sickness (throat infection, cough, cold and fever) has been reported in a lot of cases, Mild respiratory problems (nasal blocking) without fever Later on symptoms of swine flu infection reported are
  2. Headache, tiredness or weakness, diarrhoea, vomiting, chillness, and sometime conjunctivitis also reported. In some cases
  3. Fatal outcome, pneumonia, and respiratory failure have been reported as symptom of Swine flu.

In children

  1. Trouble breathing or breathing problem
  2. Skin colour changes to blue
  3. Stop drinking sufficient liquids
  4. Not waking up easily or not interact with anyone
  5. Being so irritable that the child does not want to be supposed
  6. Flu type of symptoms, recover but then come back with fever and bad cough and cold
  7. Fever with a redness and rashes
If child has symptoms of swine flu, than you should avoid contact with other persons and immediately call your paediatrician who might do a rapid flu test to see if he has an influenza A infection.

In adults

  1. Shortness of breath or breathing trouble
  2. Pain or heaviness in the chest and abdomen
  3. Unexpected dizziness
  4. Confusion
  5. Severe or constant vomiting
Swine flu high-risk groups include
  1. Serious citizens
  2. Pregnant women,
  3. People with constant medical problems, like lung disorder, asthma, cardiovascular problem and diabetes
  4. Obesity patients.
