This occurs when fatty materials called as plaques or atheroma constricted the arteries and decrease blood flow to the heart. Normally signs appear only at times when our heart required more blood supply than usual like when someone is anxious, tense, exercising or climbing stairs. In this type of situations our heart tries to pump quicker to meet up with our body's increased demands but the lessened arteries struggle to keep up. So that the heart receives very little oxygen, which causes ache or pain in the heart that is felt as chest pain. In serious cases this pain can also occurs when the heart is at relax. Angina can be caused due to other illnesses, like a constant fast heartbeat, Anaemia, heart valve disorder like serious aortic stenosis, solidifying of the heart muscle (hypertrophy), which can also result high blood pressure over some years. Angina pectoris also cause due to some risk factors such as, smoking, inactive lifestyle, Hypertension, Cholesterol, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, family history of heart disease.
