- Joints become inflamed, painful, and temperate to the touch during the initial attack and resulting outbreak
- Nodules, or swelling, generally near the elbow; but can occur any in joint
Symptoms of gout include:
- Joint pain and inflammation
- Severe joint inflammation with warmth and redness
- Increase in uric acid and crystal formation in the joints
