The basic cause of Boils is a bacterium called Staphylococcus Aureus. This bacterium normally enters in the body via scratches, cuts, and other ruptures in the skin. This can also easily spread from one person to other.
Other causes of Boil include:
- If you have a weak resistant power and poor health, then you are most probable to be attacked by boils. The bacteria present inside your skin will find the chance to develop without facing any natural confrontation of the body.
- Bad hygienic conditions can also cause Boils. The sebaceous glands, mainly of the areas like armpit and gaps of buttocks that are not regularly washed may get infected with boils
- The constant or frequent occurrence of boils at the age of 40 and above is one of the indications of attack of diabetes. Because of Diabetes body’s immune system get damaged and outcome of which the body fails to fight against the attack of bacteria.
- Because of other skin infections like eczema, acne or scabies that lead to continuous itching of the skin destroy the defensive layer of skin completely. The degradation in the excellence of skin causes the development of boils.
- Obesity is also one of the cause boils.
- Excessive consumption of alcohol can also cause boil.
- Irregular bowel movement can also cause boil.
- Any type of fever or illness that utterly breaks down the immune system may be dependable for favouring the growth of boils. Also some of the medicines taken in for the treatment of diseases may lead to the growth of boils as one of the side effects.
- One cause of boil is internal health problems. If the body have toxic materials then the boil formation is very common.
- In case improper or unhealthy diet, like intake of excessive oily food and junk food items can also cause Boils.
- Ingrown hair.
- Some foreign material that has become stuck in the skin
- Infection in blocked sweat glands is one of the causes of Boil.
Some important symptoms of boils are:
- Itching.
- Fever.
- Fatigue
- Fluctuant nodule
- Swelling in restricted area.
- Pain and Tenderness
- Swelling of the lymph glands
- Mainly the boils are pea sized, but they may be large as a golf ball.
- Boil is filled with pus and the skin around the boil becomes red.
- Pain due to dead tissue fills the area.
- Pain reduced as the area drains.
- General uneasiness.
- Whitish, bloody release from the boil
